Dilemma

Dilemma is what happens when the dark brooding intensity of Nine Inch Nails sneaks out for a late-night rave with the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. This NYC-based Dark Pop project, led by producer Alex Elias since 2012, crafts a signature sound that blends Numetal and Industrial Rock with the electronic pulses of Darkwave, Dream Pop, and Synth-Pop. It's a moody cocktail of gritty beats, heavy guitars, and haunting vocals—a ghost at a goth club. In 2023 Elias became one part of a growing Industrial Music community called Outer Darkness Records. ODR seeks to inject new life into the static and dying Industrial genre and revitalize dark music with a new and innovative sense of purpose. Elias feels proud to do his part in growing the community, including an upcoming collaboration with Hexen Prozess Woven into every note of Elias’ music, you’ll find his passion for all forms of art, from fashion to television and film. “My time is split between creating music, and consuming hoards of TV, and anime. I am always looking to these things for inspiration.” - he says. Elias’ journey is fueled by an unrelenting passion to create something unforgettable. When asked about the genre-defying style of music he creates, Elias says, “Among the various genres that influence my music, one thing you’ll find common among all of them is the melodic tendency to tap into the gothosphere, this melancholic, haunting, ethereal space. My goal is to find that space and play in it, constructing an environment that brings out a melody’s latent potential across all the various genres it could have been assigned and incorporate elements of each.”
